Upcoming Division of Victim Services Events and Training

WCADVSA is excited to open registration for the 
​​
Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Course for Adults and Adolescents
, this coming October 15th-19th, in Casper, Wyoming
​!

​This adult/adolescent Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) didactic training program is geared toward the Registered Nurse, and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses. Students must have a minimum of an RN license before beginning this course and 1-2 years of experience in a critical care field is recommended. This activity has been submitted to the IAFN for approval to award contact hours. A limited number of scholarships are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Other professionals may be able to attend the course and may receive a certificate on a case-by-case basis as approved by the IAFN. ​

Wyoming's Joint Symposium on Children & Youth - Crimes Against Children & Children's Justice
Join us on JUNE 27th-29th, 2019 at Little America in Cheyenne
Wyoming's Joint Symposium on Children and Youth (WyoJSCY) is the leading statewide training event in the movement to prevent and end crimes against children.The Symposium takes a multidisciplinary approach to promoting innovative methods, distinctive approaches, and promising practices in responding to crimes against children and helping children and families heal.  
Who should attend this conference? 
Victim advocates, law enforcement, attorneys, judges, medical and mental health professionals, child and family case workers (DFS), CASA, child advocates, educators, clergy and anyone working with children. 
Continuing Education: POST credits, CLE’s, PTSB credits, STARS Hours, Mental Health CE's and Nursing CEU’s will be available.

Compensation Training will be offered upon request via Webex. Please contact Lesley Osen, Compensation Analyst, at (307) 777-7177 to attend a training. Space is limited to 25 people per session.
