Will Young

Will grew up in Dyersburg, Tennessee. After receiving a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Tennessee in 2017, he returned to his hometown and spent a year interning with a local law firm. Following this year of gaining invaluable experience, he traveled more than 1,000 miles to attend the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2018 and later graduated with his J.D. in 2021. Will joined the Wyoming Attorney General’s Office in September of 2021 as a part of the Tobacco Settlement Unit and the Consumer Protection and Antitrust Unit. In his free time, Will enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing, woodworking, and spending time with his family.


Benjamin Peterson

Ben graduated in 2005 from the University of Wyoming with a B.A. in Secondary Education and a Minor in History. Following his first career in education, Ben graduated from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2020. In Law School Ben worked in the Civil Legal Services Clinic and the Prosecution Assistance Clinic. He also had externships with the Honorable Justice Keith Kautz of the Wyoming Supreme Court as well as with the Honorable Kelly Rankin Chief Magistrate for the District of Wyoming. Following law school, Ben served as a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas Campbell, District Court Judge in Wyoming’s First Judicial District

Kaleb Thompson

Kaleb is the Investigator for the Consumer Protection Unit. He assists with calls relating to consumer protection and consumer complaints. Furthermore, Kaleb investigates complaints alleging a pattern or practice of unfair or deceptive acts or practices. After receiving a B.S. in Government from Liberty University in 2021, he moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming. Shortly after settling in Cheyenne, Kaleb joined the Wyoming Attorney General’s Office in August of 2021 as a part of the Consumer Protection and Antitrust Unit. Kaleb enjoys hiking, fishing, and spending time with his family.


Melissa Underhill

Melissa is the Paralegal for the Consumer Protection Unit and serves as the Administrator for the Tobacco Settlement Unit. Melissa answers calls relating to consumer protection and tobacco matters. The information on the Tobacco Settlement Unit website as well as The Directory of Certified Tobacco Product Manufacturers, Their Brands and Brand Families, are all maintained by Melissa. Prior to coming to the Wyoming Attorney General’s Office, Melissa worked as a paralegal at a local law firm for nearly 13 years. Melissa joined the Attorney General's office in March of 2022. Melissa was born and raised in western Nebraska and has called Cheyenne her home since 2002. In her free time, Melissa enjoys camping, traveling, and spending time with her family.
