Deputy Attorney General

Jenny L. Craig

Jenny received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Wyoming and went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of Wyoming, College of Law. She began her legal career clerking for the Honorable William C. Beaman, Magistrate Judge for the Wyoming Federal District Court. After spending some time in private practice, Jenny joined the criminal division of the Wyoming Attorney General’s Office in 2007. She represented the State in criminal appeals to the Wyoming Supreme Court and United States Supreme Court, post-conviction relief actions, and federal habeas corpus litigation in the federal district court and Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Jenny left the Attorney General’s Office to serve as a staff attorney for the Honorable Barton R. Voigt and the Honorable Keith G. Kautz, both justices on the Wyoming Supreme Court. She then returned to the Attorney General’s Office to serve as the Deputy Attorney General of the Criminal Division. There she oversees the attorneys handling criminal appeals, state and federal habeas corpus petitions, state post-conviction petitions, and civil forfeiture matters. The Criminal Division also represents the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Department of Corrections, Division of Criminal Investigation, Office of Homeland Security, and Board of Parole.

Kristen Jones

Kristen is a graduate of Dartmouth College and George Mason University Law School. As an Air Force spouse, she has lived and practiced law in four states and is now proud to call Wyoming her “forever home.” Her broad professional experience includes a judicial clerkship, criminal defense, family law, civil litigation, administrative law, government contracting, and estate planning. From 2013-2014, Kristen worked for the Attorney General’s Office in the Human Services Division representing the Wyoming Department of Health, Division of Healthcare Financing (Medicaid). She returned to the Attorney General’s Office in 2020 to join the Criminal Division. Kristen sits on the board of the Military Spouse JD Network, a bar association committed to supporting the careers of military spouse legal professionals. She is also passionate about conservation and sustainability.

Senior Assistant Attorneys General

Kellsie J. Singleton

Kellsie graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2012 with her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Wyoming. She earned her law degree, with honor, from the University of Wyoming, College of Law in 2015. She began her legal career at the Wyoming Attorney General’s Office in the Human Services Division, representing the Wyoming Department of Health, Division of Healthcare Financing (Medicaid). In 2018, Kellsie worked in private practice, representing clients in general civil matters. She then returned to the Attorney General’s Office in March 2020 as an Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Division, where she now represents the Division of Criminal Investigation and handles state and federal habeas corpus petitions, state post-conviction petitions, and civil forfeiture matters. In her free time, Kellsie enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids, running, hiking, camping, boxing, and playing/singing on her church’s praise team.

Sam Williams

Sam is a life-long Wyoming native. He received his bachelor’s degree in English, with a minor in Philosophy, from the University of Wyoming. Sam attended the University of Wyoming College of Law where he graduated, with honor, in May 2016. He was inducted into the Order of the Coif in April 2017. While in law school he served as both a staff member and elected Student Editor for the Wyoming Law Review. He also worked in the International Human Rights Clinic and the Energy, Environmental and Natural Resources Clinic. He spent his first year of practice as the law clerk for the Honorable Judge Daniel Forgey in Casper, Wyoming. He is assigned to the appellate section of the Criminal Division.

John Woykovsky

John was born and raised in Connecticut, and attended Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington D.C. He started his legal career in 1999 with the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia, where he spent nine years as a prosecutor and eight years handling criminal appeals. In 2016, John moved to New Mexico where he spent five years in the New Mexico Attorney General's Office, again handling criminal appeals. John and his wife moved north to Wyoming in 2021, where he now handles criminal appeals for the Wyoming Attorney General.

Assistant Attorney General

Donovan Burton

Donovan earned his undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Wyoming in 2014. After graduation, he spent four years working as a correctional officer for the Colorado Department of Corrections. Donovan returned to Wyoming in 2018 to attend law school. During law school, he interned for the Albany County Public Defender’s Office and in the Wyoming Attorney General’s Office in the Criminal Division. In 2021, he earned his J.D. with honors from the University of Wyoming College of Law. After graduation, Donovan returned to work in the Criminal Division of the Wyoming Attorney General’s Office.

Kirstine Rude

Kris grew up in western Nebraska, where her father practiced law and was a District Court judge. She received both her bachelor’s degree and her juris doctorate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she was inducted into the Order of the Coif and served as a member of the Nebraska Law Review. Following law school, Kris served as a Judge Advocate in the USAF for 20 years, six years on active duty and 14 as a reservist. As a military spouse, she and her family lived and traveled all over the world, including assignments in Japan, Iceland and Germany. Kris is assigned to the post conviction section of the Criminal Division.
